Optimistic Speculative Fiction
I am Karen A. Granovsky, an independent writer specializing in speculative fiction, namely science fiction and fantasy. I believe these are two of the most imaginative, groundbreaking genres of fiction in existence today.
But not just any speculative fiction. No, I believe that speculative fiction lends itself exceedingly well to escapism, where we can imagine worlds better than our own. That is why I publish books with distinctly optimistic tones, messages, and conclusions. That's not to say everything that happens in my books is sunshine and rainbows - ignoring the unpleasant realities of life would be both unrealistic and disingenuous. But in a publishing landscape where dystopia and grimdark reign, my goal is to leave the reader feeling a sense of wonder and optimism when they turn the final page.
